Men

friendship, discipleship, mission

Men’s Ministry at MISSION seeks to provide environments for men to grow in their walk with God and others. Those environments serve as a platform for practicing justice and mercy both inside and outside our church family.

Our strategy is to accomplish our mission by pursuing friendship, discipleship, and mission.

  • Friendship that is trusting and dependable
  • Discipleship that challenges us to learn and live like Jesus
  • Mission that accomplishes God's justice and mercy in our church, community and world

We believe we've been successful when we're healthy in all three of these areas, so we desire to help, challenge and encourage men on their spiritual journey with God. Regardless of where you are on your spiritual journey, we’re eager to assist you in your next step.

Thursday Mornings

New in 2010 is a large group men's gathering on Thursday's from 6:30-7:30 am. Our spring study, called Vintage Jesus, meets on the Mission campus in the Warehouse. Each week we watch and listen as Mark Driscoll walks us through scripture with humor and application to find timeless answers to some timely questions about "Who is Jesus?" Study guides are available for $10.

Groups

Hanging with a group of trusted friends, combined with digging deep into God’s word, brings great opportunity for sustained life change.

Events

Each month the guys of Mission hang out together for some combination of competition, friendship, fun or accomplishing justice and mercy in our world. In the first quarter of 2010 we're planning to:

          January 22                     Suns vs. Chicago

          February 13                    Mission Project- HRE

March 20                        Spring Training game- Cubs vs. KC
