Big Church, Small Community

We have been created to live in community and not in isolation.  Physically, we do live in a community, but spiritually, socially, and relationally we often live our lives in isolation.  We find ourselves with no one to turn to when we have a major issue that has just surfaced in our life.  Living in community affords us the opportunity to more wholly experience God thru close relationships as we play and pray together, as we encourage and help one another, and as we study and live out God’s word together.

At Mission a Missional Community “small group” usually consists of 7-15 attendees in various life stages who meet on a regular basis in someone's home.  These communities are about establishing relationships that encourage us to grow spiritually, offer mercy towards one another in our time of need,  and as groups be the hand of justice in our community and the world around us.

Practically speaking, when groups gather they spend a lot of time getting to know one another around the dinner table, talking in the living room, having fun together, studying the Bible, praying/helping one another when life takes its inevitable unexpected turns, and reaching out to the community.

The end result of participating in a Missional Community is to have a community of friends where we grow more mature in our walk with Christ, experiencing the spiritual and tangible blessings of walking in step with one another and with our God.

We are launching brand new communities and you can now search for a Missional Community group online. Find the group that best fits your needs, send them a message and join the group.
