For Junior High Parents
Here at MISSION we know that being a parent has it's ups and downs. It is our desire and goal to walk alongside you as a parent to a student. We want to partner with you and help point your student to Jesus. The saying "it takes a village to raise a child" couldn't be more true. We believe that each student needs multiple adults (outside of Mom and Dad) that care for them, encourage them, pray with them, and love them for who they are. We desire to be those adults. We also believe if a student has other adults in their lives, the likelihood that their faith is more "sticky" increases exponentially.
We have had the privilege of being a part of a program put on by Fuller Youth Institute. We are a part of what is called the "Sticky Faith Cohort". We are thinking about your students spiritual journey from the moment they enter our ministry until long after they exit our ministry. We take your students' walk with the Lord seriously. We are striving to assist your student in having an authentic faith that will stick long after they exit our High School ministry.
The Sticky Faith organization has a great book entitled "Sticky Faith". This work is a great read for all parents and a great way to begin to think about your students faith now.
