We are just finishing up the first week here at Homes of Hope in Fiji. This has been a great week so far. I don’t think we could have asked for more. God has been blessing us in immense ways and it is very evident that He is here in Fiji. Here is little bit of an update on some of the things we have been working on!
It rained our first two days! Instead of the electrical work that was originally planned, we helped build an extension of the Homes of Hope office. We helped plaster the walls and add a porch as well as an outside meeting area. This has definitely been a lot of work, with still plenty to do next week. It has been a huge blessing to work with the construction guys from Homes of Hope. These guys are just amazing.
The three girls on our team have been playing many roles since they have been here. They have been helping at the office as well as working in the primary school that is located here at Homes of Hope. They have been working with the instructors to help teach bible stories along with their daily lessons.
After a long week of work, one of the men from Homes of Hope offered to take us through the jungle to a nearby Waterfall. It was such a sight to see and such a beautiful display of God’s glory. The water was warm and we got to spend a couple of hours there before hiking through the jungle back home for the rest of the night.
Thank you Mission Community Church and EMBER for your continued support, both prayerfully and financially. We would not be here without it. See you soon! God bless.
