Mexico Mission Trip Update

Posted March 17th, 2012 by Ryan Guard

We're wrapping up day #2 here in Rocky Point and it has been great! We had 5 teams in the morning, and then merged into 2 this afternoon.

We had kids pouring concrete for a church roof, then stucco the walls. They're exhausted!

We had a group of female students go to a women's rehab center for a "Beauty Day". Our girls died their hair, painted their nails, did their makeup and did their hair, then those ladies got to go to a nice lunch. The women they served ranged from 13 years old to 30.

A handful of us went to a local church where we got to do crafts, games and soccer with about 30 neighborhood children. We got destroyed in soccer by a group of 9-year-olds. #walkhumbly

Another group went to a local school to paiint most of the campus, some classrooms and to clean up.

Last, but not least, some kids went to a feeding center where they created food packages for the poor.

All in all, it was a pretty great day! We're about to eat dinner together, then we have some free time.

If you got a text update from MEXHS that said the leaders went to the beach and left the students behind, we were kidding. We're all here, safe and sound :)

Thanks for your prayers! We'll see you all tomorrow.
