Say Hello to Lisa Devereaux
Communications Director
When did you join MISSION staff?
I joined MISSION staff in February 2011. But, I've been coming to MISSION since August 15, 2009 (I remember because that's the day I met my husband!) and I currently serve on the Worship Team.
Where did you go to college?
I went to the University of North Texas where I received a degree in Communication Studies (don't ask me because I don't know what that actually means). After college, I attended the New Life School of Worship in Colorado Springs.
What's your family like?
My husband Paul and I got married in June of 2011. My parents have been married for 30 years and I have two smart and very sassy younger sisters.
Where were you born?
I was born in San Antonio, TX - Home of the Alamo and some fantastic Mexican food.
My most recent purchase:
Gold glitter heels
My current soundtrack is:
The Civil Wars "Poison & Wine EP", Hillsong United "Aftermath", Audrey Assad "The House You're Building"
What was your first job?
I worked as an associate at Sears Home Service Center in Paris, Texas. I literally took in broken weed eaters for repair.
If you were on a deserted island and could only bring 3 things, what would they be?
A coffee maker, hand lotion (I'm kind of OCD about hand mosturization...) and my iPhone.
Who are two people you'd like to meet?
Brooke Fraser and Condoleezza Rice because they're both incredibly talented and successful women, and I'd love to walk in their shoes for a day.
Where's the best place for Mexican food in the valley?
El Rico's in Queen Creek. I disovered this place due to a guy's t-shirt at Sam's.
